Genesis Academy has a strong and growing athletic programme. We encourage student participation in sports activities at school as well as in Special Olympics.
Genesis’ athletes have successfully competed at the parish and national level in Special Education Schools’ Association (SESA), Jamaica Independent Schools’ Association (JISA) and Special Olympics Games. Having nurtured their talents at school, some of our past students have gone on to represent Jamaica at the 2007, 2011 and 2015 Special Olympics, World Summer Games in China, Greece and Los Angeles respectively and have won gold and silver medals in swimming, bocce and floor hockey.
The school offers swimming, track & field, football, netball, floor hockey, soft ball throw and bocce and continues to develop positive self-esteem, discipline, teamwork and leadership qualities in the students.
